Conversations With God - interesting, apparently based on an international acclaimed book series. Talking to God is pretty normal - but getting a response is seldom seen, very curious to what the questions and responses are.
Smokin' Aces - killer trailer, action, ass whooppin', weirdos, guns and dry humor... nice, can't wait!
Reno 911!: Miami - this trailer looks real funny... and not Borat! stupid funny (if you can call it that) but authentically funny. If the movie is as funny as the trailer, I'll have a lot of catching up to do watching the tv show.
The Astronaut Farmer - almost had tears at the end of this trailer. I guess it takes me back to my childhood dream of becoming an astronaut.
Transformers - 'it's prime time' baby!
300 - OMFG!!!!!!!!!
Grindhouse - a la tarantino/rodriguez style. You know what to expect.
Hott Fuzz - if you enjoyed 'Shaun of the Dead', this looks all that but w/o the zombies.
Get ready babe.. cuz we's going to the movies. ;-)

1st 1/2 marathon...
[UPDATE]
Sooooo... we were going to put our ninja gear for the 1/2 marathon (they called for 16F temp - which was true, early am). We started out at 8am at chilly 23F - which was not bad... we both had to layered shirts (one thick, one thin), our tights, hoodies, gloves, and our kickin' muzak. It was a great race, the weather was not as bad as we thought - the hills were what killed us and now we vege out.
Davicho's time
Liz's time
all i can say is - shriveled nuts! 'pposed to be coooooooold. Oh well... wish us luck... there is no turning back now (unlike the weather chick from the charlotte news).
Gear - check
Muzak - check, checckkk
can-do 'ttude - che-e-e-eck
ready to get it over with - yester-check!

Five hot, young naked chicks in the bath tub (sexy content - adult viewers only)
Make sure no one is around when you watch these girls frolicking in the tub. This is weird, but amazing video featuring hot, sexy young chicks. May be illegal in some countries. Adult viewers only.
"I said...

The best show on TV...
has launched it's webisodes on scifi.com. It's never too late to catch the mini-series (a must overview to understand what the hell is going on in the later shows), season 1 and 2 or a FREE insider clip.
Anyway - catch two 3 min. webisodes per week (tuesdays and thursdays). Just too damn cool - can't wait.

Flickr maps...
This is really cool. Flickr has added a mapping tool, dubbed 'geotagging' where you can tag your images to a specific location on a map. No need to wonder anymore where Honduras is - my flickr locations are all updated - cheers!
been Yelping lately...
Can't help to wonder there are some poor souls out there that want some insside scoop about G'boro. This really started when I wanted to get good reviews about Cirque du Soleil and could not find anyting and somehow stumbled upon this site. Well amigos.... Davicho to da rescue!
So have at it - start your own and help a brotha out, Yelp your hood, I have!
Yelp is a website that allows users to write and share reviews of local businesses. It also has social networking features (adding friends, groups, etc.) to share reviews with a trust network. The idea is that people generally trust their freinds’ recommendations.

"O" as in N'O'
"Never been to a Cirque show before and after much reviewing and friend influences to go see these shows - we reviewed 'o', got the most expensive seats and really looked forward to it...
VERY DISAPPOINTED... lots of non-sense... randomness... no story line (and that could be my fault for expecting a story), stunts/acrobatics... blah, nothing out of this world... u see better stuff on TV. Water acrobatics? Please... bunch of people diving in and out of a water with cute costumes... and that is really it - lots of eye-candy... nice costumes and that is all... music was terrible... not my taste at all... was expecting something more eclectic/operatic.... very pop-Hindi cookie cutter compositions.
What saved the show? The clown interludes were real funny... real cute... and well done.
In a nutshell... I am a very open-minded person, cultured and artsy and really anything goes but this show inspires nothing. I went to this particular show because it had the best ratings everywhere I looked. But still, I don't regret not going - at least I know what they are about (will never pay to see another one). If you are unsure - trust me, get the cheap seats - at least you can say you've done a show. But expect no storyline, sub par acrobatics/stunts, lots of non-sense movement and sequences... very long, and emotionless.
People next to me were oohing and aahing - I can't understand why - if you are easily amused, think germans cars are better then japanese cars, have and ipod but use a pc, use ShutterFly instead of Flickr, or use Hotmail/Yahoo instead of Gmail - then you will like it - if not, you know there are better things out there. Hope this helps... I could have used a young, urban, real-rating to this show."
UPDATE - forgot to mention I posted this review on www.yelp.com. Wish I had know about this site before hand - now YOU know! ;-)

US vs Italy...
So I was stuck going to a wedding in Newton, NC... (small town, very) at 5pm. My US game started at 3 and we were driving an hr to get there from Huntersville. To make the long story short... I knew no church'd be playing my game...so I googled bars wit google maps and got Hilltop.
There is more to it inside than what you can tell from the outside... Thought I'd be stuck with some noon bikers who'd make fun of my wedding attire... but it turned out to be a friendly neighborhood bar.
So I am glad I could scope bars around the country for you guys - you'll never know when u'll have an emergency, just like mine.
ps - u have to be a member (daaayuuum - little towns w/ membership bars), but they are lenient.

Italy (1-0-1) leads with four points, one ahead of the Czechs and Ghana (both 1-1) and three ahead of the Americans (0-1-1).
For the United States to reach the round of 16, it must win, coupled with an Italian victory over the Czechs. Or Italy would have to tie the Czechs along with a U.S. victory by at least four goals -- and maybe more.

Davicho diving in Roatan!
As you can see the dive site is a little spooky, hence the name 'Spooky'. This is a 90ft dive where the coral drops to the bottom and almost caves in at the top, but it doesn't completely close. At the very top where the coral almost meets to create a cave like feeling is where a few rays of light shine through - the coral itself is blooming with life where the sun hits but dead where it doesn't. Highlights of the dive were an eel, a turtle, a barracuda and a 40lb. grouper.
After the dives, I met with my wife to enjoy West End Beach and drink Barenas in the water.

So I'll try to keep 'em nice and clean - don't mind them, but if you see something interesting... by all means click away! ;-) It'll take a gazillion clicks to reach 'em benjamins but put it like this... proceeds will go to furry hungry Charlie (my dog Charlie, not my buddy).

Movies - D.E.B.S.
OMG!
What he said...
Got caught totally off guard with this flick! I feel perverted for watching this (on cable - HBO), but this teeny bopper flick was outrageous... young cute chicks that are spies, chasing a hot villain-chick who is into girls. They smoke, sleep-around, cuss and THE SOUNDTRACK IS JUST WHAT DID FOR ME; or was it that they are all in school uniforms - short skirts, tight shirts, long socks (wateva u call those), carrying guns as big as they are (which they can barely hold) and just plain ditsy and stupid. Don't know how I got into this one but it was GOOD! The Soundtrack will speak for itself --> I have my own school girl. ;-)
What she said...
Funny and stupid. (She also said it was "cute" at one point)
